To insure absolute surface uniformity, S&S pours their glass onto a bed of mercury. Each piece of glass is perfectly flat and optically pure. We use only 20 mm / 3/4” thick glass in our furniture range. This extremely thick glass is unusual in the furniture industry, but it guarantees a high load capacity and accentuates the elegant design of fine audio and video components.
